TORNADO WATCH 247 IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 AM CDT THURSDAY

TONIGHT…THUNDERSTORMS…BREEZY. SOME THUNDERSTORMS MAY PRODUCE HEAVY RAINFALL. LOW IN THE MID 60S. SOUTH WIND 10 TO 20 MPH. CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS NEAR 100 PERCENT.

THURSDAY…THUNDERSTORMS…BREEZY. SOME THUNDERSTORMS MAY PRODUCE HEAVY RAINFALL. HIGH IN THE LOWER 70S. SOUTH WIND 15 TO 20 MPH WITH GUSTS TO AROUND 30 MPH. CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS 90 PERCENT.

AT 558 PM CDT…HEAVY RAINFALL HAS ENDED…BUT EXCESS FROM THE HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING ACROSS THE WARNED AREA. SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLASH FLOODING INCLUDE… ATLANTIC…AUDUBON AND GRISWOLD.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS… EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS…HIGHWAYS AND UNDERPASSES. ADDITIONALLY…COUNTRY ROADS AND FARMLANDS ALONG THE BANKS OF CREEKS…STREAMS AND OTHER LOW LYING AREAS ARE ALSO SUBJECT TO FLOODING. * TORNADO WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF
   FAR SOUTHWEST IOWA
   NORTHEAST KANSAS
   SOUTHEAST NEBRASKA
 
 * EFFECTIVE THIS WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING FROM 335 PM
   UNTIL 1100 PM CDT.
