BITTER COLD WIND CHILLS ACROSS CENTRAL IOWA CONTINUE THROUGH THIS MORNING. AN ARCTIC AIRMASS WILL REMAIN ACROSS IOWA THROUGH TUESDAY MORNING. THE COMBINATION OF COLD AIR AND WINDS WILL PRODUCE BITTER COLD WIND CHILLS DURING THIS TIME.

A WIND CHILL ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON CST TODAY.

* WIND CHILL VALUES…WIDESPREAD VALUES OF 20 TO 30 BELOW ZERO CAN BE EXPECTED OVERNIGHT. SOME VALUES OF 30 TO 35 BELOW CAN BRIEFLY BE EXPECTED IN FAR NORTHERN IOWA TOWARD DAYBREAK TODAY.

* WINDS…A NORTHWEST WIND WILL DIMINISH TO 5 TO 10 MPH EARLY IN THE MORNING AND GRADUALLY BECOME SOUTHWESTERLY. THE SOUTHWEST WINDS WILL INCREASE TO 10 TO 15 MPH…ESPECIALLY IN WESTERN IOWA ON TUESDAY MORNING.
