Tonight: Mostly cloudy w/Isolated showers & thunderstorms before 9-pm. Low around 68. S-SE wind @ 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Sunday: Partly Sunny & breezy, w/a 20% chance of showers & thunderstorms after 4-pm. High near 87.   South wind 10 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
Sun. Night: Mo. Cldy w/a 70% chance of showers & thunderstorms, mainly after 7-pm. Low around 68. South wind 10 to 15 mph. New rainfall amounts between three quarters and one inch possible.

Monday: Partly Sunny w/a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms. High near 83. SW wind 10 to 20-mph. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

AT 543 PM CDT…DOPPLER RADAR WAS TRACKING A STRONG THUNDERSTORM 12 MILES NORTH OF LAKE ICARIA…OR 16 MILES WEST OF GREENFIELD…MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 20 MPH. NICKEL SIZE HAIL WILL BE POSSIBLE WITH THIS STORM.

LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE…

MASSENA AND BRIDGEWATER.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

TORRENTIAL RAINFALL OF UP TO 2 INCHES IN AN HOURS IS ALSO OCCURRING WITH THIS STORM…AND MAY LEAD TO FLASH FLOODING. DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE THROUGH FLOODED ROADWAYS.

SHOWERS AND WEAK THUNDERSTORMS. THESE FUNNELS ARE NORMALLY
BRIEF…DROP ONLY A FEW HUNDRED FEET FROM THE CLOUD BASE…AND
RARELY BECOME A TORNADO OR CAUSE DAMAGE. HOWEVER…IF ONE IS
SPOTTED…PLEASE REPORT IT IMMEDIATELY TO LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT

SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED…ESPECIALLY THIS AFTERNOON INTO TONIGHT ACROSS MUCH OF CENTRAL IOWA. AN ISOLATED STORM WITH DAMAGING WINDS OR LARGE HAIL WILL BE POSSIBLE DURING THE LATE AFTERNOON INTO EVENING HOURS. LOCALIZED HEAVY RAINFALL IS ALSO EXPECTED WITH THE SLOW MOVEMENT OF THE STORMS AND THE MOIST ATMOSPHERE.

WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY….
ADDITIONAL NON SEVERE SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED ON WEDNESDAY…MAINLY EAST OF INTERSTATE 35. LOCALIZED HEAVY RAINS WILL REMAIN POSSIBLE. THE THREAT OF ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE CONFINED TO FAR SOUTHERN IOWA ON WEDNESDAY NIGHT.

BY LATER SATURDAY INTO MONDAY…PERIODS OF THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE. AT THIS TIME…THE SEVERE WEATHER POTENTIAL IS UNKNOWN AND WILL BE DETERMINED AS THE WEEKEND APPROACHES.
