* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  EASTERN CASS COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST IOWA...
  NORTHWESTERN ADAIR COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST IOWA...
  WESTERN ADAMS COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST IOWA...

* UNTIL MIDNIGHT CDT

* AT 607 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
  SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAINFALL ACROSS THE
  WARNED AREA. SPOTTERS REPORTED OVER 1.25 INCHES OF RAIN IN LESS
  THAN AN HOUR OVER WESTERN ADAMS COUNTY...AND WITH ADDITIONAL
  THUNDERSTORMS RADAR ESTIMATES 2 TO 2.5 INCHES OF RAIN HAS ALREADY
  FALLEN. MORE THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAIN ARE EXPECTED TO PRODUCE
  ANOTHER INCH OF RAIN IN TWO HOURS.

* RUNOFF FROM THIS EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING TO

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...COUNTRY ROADS...AS WELL AS FARMLAND ALONG THE
BANKS OF CREEKS AND STREAMS.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS

THE STORM WHICH PROMPTED THE WARNING HAS WEAKENED BELOW SEVERE
LIMITS AND WAS EXITING THE WARNED AREA. THEREFORE THE WARNING WILL
BE ALLOWED TO EXPIRE.  HOWEVER SMALL HAIL….GUSTY WINDS AND HEAVY
RAIN ARE STILL POSSIBLE WITH ADDITIONAL THUNDERSTORMS BETWEEN

5:24-p.m.: 1-mile E. of Shenandoah – Nickel to quarter-sized hail reported by law enforcement.

5:27-p.m.: 3/4″ hail reported in Shenandoah.
