NORFOLK AND MACY. AREAS IN BETWEEN AND NORTH OF A LINE FROM
COLUMBUS TO FREMONT TO OMAHA AND OAKLAND IOWA SHOULD GENERALLY BE
DONE WITH THEIR SNOW BY LATE MORNING WITH MOST ACCUMULATIONS FROM
UNDER AN INCH TO 2 INCHES. SOUTH OF THIS LINE…THE SNOW WILL LAST
INTO THE AFTERNOON. THERE MAY BE SOME LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS
TOWARD THE KANSAS AND MISSOURI BORDERS SHOULD THE BAND INTENSIFY

SNOW WILL CONTINUE ACROSS MUCH OF CENTRAL AND SOUTHWEST IOWA THROUGH THE MORNING HOURS. ALTHOUGH THERE HAS YET TO BE MUCH IN THE WAY OF ACCUMULATIONS…ROADS HAVE QUICKLY BECOME JUST SNOW COVERED AND SLICK IN MANY AREAS. SLOW DOWN AND PLAN FOR EXTRA TRAVEL TIME THIS NEW YEARS MORNING. ACCUMULATIONS WILL GENERALLY REACH ONE TO TWO INCHES BY AFTERNOON.

CHARLES “CHUCK” SIEMSEN, 94, of Ross, died Dec. 30th, at home. Funeral services for CHUCK SIEMSEN will be held 10:30-a.m. Thu., Jan. 2nd, at the Ross Calvary United Methodist Church, in Ross. Kessler Funeral Home in Audubon has the arrangements.

Friends may call at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 5-to 7-pm Wed. (Jan. 1st).

Burial will be at a later date.

CHARLES “CHUCK” SIEMSEN is survived by:

His wife – Doris (Dorlee) Siemsen, of Ross.

His children – Nancy Poore, of Ross; David (Diane) Siemsen, of Oakdale, CA, &  Dorene (Terry) Baier, of Audubon.

His sisters – Dorothy (Bryan) Betts, of Audubon, and Grace Betts, of Omaha.

8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, other relatives & friends.

CHARLOTTE A. STEWART, 88, of Avoca, died Mon., Dec. 30th, at the Avoca Nursing & Rehab Center. A Mass of Christian Burial service for CHARLOTTE STEWART will be held 11-a.m. Sat., Jan. 4th, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Harlan. Pauley-Jones Funeral Home in Harlan has the arrangements.

Vistiation at the funeral home will be held from 4-to 9-pm Fri., Jan. 3rd, with a Wake service at 7-p.m.

Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Cemetery at Portsmouth.

CHARLOTTE STEWART is survived by:

Her daughters – Trudy (Dale) Plagmann, of Harlan, & Elizabeth (Bob) Peterson, of Carroll.

and 5 grandchildren.
