The Chair of the Cass County Democratic Party says Democrats in the County will hold their election-year Convention this Saturday. According to Sherry Toelle, the event takes place in the Cass County Courthouse, beginning at 9:30-a.m. Saturday, March 10th. The 2011-12 All-Big Ten Men’s Basketball Teams were announced live on the Big Ten Network Monday night. Michigan State star Draymond Green was the only unanimous first-team player and also won Player of the Year from the coaches and the media, while Green’s coach, Tom Izzo, claimed both Coach of the Year honors. As for the highly debated Freshman of the Year laurel, Trey Burke (media) and Cody Zeller (coaches) were both selected.

Crock Pot Pizza Casserole (3-6-12)

Mom's Tips

  • 1 1/2 lbs. hamburger
  • 12 oz. package of kluski noodles, cooked
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 8 oz. spaghetti sauce
  • 4 oz. mozzarella cheese
  • 8 oz. pizza sauce
  • 4 oz. American cheese

Brown hamburger and onion, drain.  Add spaghetti and pizza sauces.  Put 1/2 of cooked noodles in bottom of crock pot.  Add layer of hamburger mixture.  Sprinkle half of each of the cheese over that; repeat layers of each.  Cook 30 minutes on high and turn to low for 1 1/2 hours.

Pepperoni slices
