JOYCE E. WRIGHT, 86, of Casey , died Sat., May 18th, at the Cass County Memorial Hospital in Atlantic. Funeral services for JOYCE WRIGHT will be held at 10:30 AM Thurs., May 23rd at United Methodist Church in Casey. Hockenberry Family Care Funeral Home in Atlantic has the arrangements.

Visitation with the family will be from 9:30 to 10:30 AM Thurs., May 23rd at the United Methodist Church in Casey.

Burial will be in the Dalmanutha Cemetery in Casey.

JOYCE WRIGHT is survived by:

Sons, Robert (Donna) Wright of Laurel, Delaware; Dick (Jan) Wright of Ames; and Verle (Joyce) Wright of Marshall, VA

Daughter, Renae (Greg) Wedemeyer of Adair

12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

 

Sidney woman arrested for OWI test failure

Sheriff’s officials in Montgomery County report the arrest early this (Sunday) morning, of a Fremont County woman. 41-year old Jill Lynn Davalos, of Sidney, was taken into custody just before 2-a.m., for driving while revoked following an OWI test failure. She was booked into the Montgomery County Jail and held on $1,000 cash bond.

Red Oak Police make drug arrest

Police in Red Oak report the arrest late Saturday night of 37-year old Rachel Charise Kathleen Hadden, of Red Oak. Hadden was taken into custody in the 400 block of east Senate Avenue, on a warrant charging her with a felony controlled substance violation. Hadden was booked into the Montgomery County Jail and held, on $50,000 bond.

Stanton man arrested in Adams County

The Adams County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest on Saturday evening, of 45-year old Dennis Graham, from Stanton. Graham was pulled over for speeding at around 6:15-p.m., and subsequently arrested for driving while intoxicated, speeding and having an open container. He was being held in the Adams County Jail on bond amounting to nearly $2,195.

Bianchi’s single in 10th lifts Brewers over Cards

ST. LOUIS (AP) — Jeff Bianchi drove in two runs with a 10th-inning single up the middle, and the Milwaukee Brewers beat the St. Louis Cardinals 6-4 on Saturday night. Joe Kelly (0-2) allowed runs for the first time in five appearances and took the loss. He allowed two hits and a walk in one inning for the Cardinals, who fell to 0-3 in extra-inning games.

John Axford (1-3) gave up one hit and two walks in 1 1-3 innings to earn the win. Axford struck out two, including pinch-hitter Daniel Descalso with the bases loaded to end a ninth-inning threat. Jim Henderson worked a perfect inning for his eighth save in eight chances.
