Atlantic grabbed a postseason win over Shenandoah 41-33 on Saturday night at the Atlantic High School. The Trojans found some footing in the second quarter on a slow scoring night for both teams. It was just 6-4 Trojans after the first and Atlantic used a 10-2 run to end the half with a 19-10 lead. They’d only let the Fillies get as close as 4 the rest of the way.

The Trojans started to focus more on getting some penetration against the Fillies zone in the second quarter and Atlantic Head Coach Dan Vargason said that helped turn things around.

Jada Jensen finished with a game-high 14 points and Paytn Harter added 12 for Atlantic. The Trojans improved to 9-13 on the season and advance to the 3A Region 7 Semifinals on Wednesday night at Sergeant Bluff-Luton. Coach Vargason said they are excited for another opportunity.

Shenandoah was led by 10 points from Ava Wolf and their season ends with a record of 10-12.
