Police in Creston report one person was arrested this (Thursday) morning, while three others were arrested Wednesday. 37-year old Shannon Ranae Danielson, of Creston, was arrested at around 2:20-a.m. today (Wed.), on a Public Intoxication charge. Danielson was being held in the Ringgold County Jail on $300 bond.
Late Wednesday morning, Creston Police arrested 37-year old Robert Gregory, of Creston, on a warrant out of Mahaska County. Gregory was turned over to jail staff for extradition. Early Wednesday afternoon, 25-year old Matthew Jon Buchanan, of Creston, was arrested on a warrant out of Union County, for Contempt of Court. He was later released on $650 bond. And, 25-year old Rojas Filiberto-Manzanarez, of Creston, was arrested Wednesday evening, for Public Intoxication. He was later released on $300 bond.
Creston Police said also, an Ellston woman reported her vehicle was vandalized Wednesday morning, while it was parked at the Creston Fareway Store. The damage was estimated at $2,000.

A man from Harrison County faces three felony charges after barricading himself in a home and firing two gunshots as police negotiated with him. According to the Daily NonPareil, 24-year old Cody J. Smith, of Logan, was taken into custody following an incident that occurred around 2:45-a.m. Monday, in Logan.
Authorities were called to the scene after Smith allegedly threatened to harm himself and others. According to Logan Police Chief Aaron Brensel, Smith had a warrant out for his arrest. When officers arrived and began speaking with the reporting parties, Brensel said Smith observed them and then proceeded to barricade himself in a second-floor bedroom with firearms.
Law enforcement evacuated those in the residence and notified residents in nearby houses to either evacuate or go into the basement until the situation was resolved. The Iowa State Patrol tactical team and negotiators were called to the scene. Law enforcement was able to establish phone contact with Smith, who threatened to harm himself or officers if anyone tried to go in after him. Brensel said while barricaded in the upstairs bedroom, Smith fired a shotgun out the window, over the officers, and into a populated area.
As authorities continued negotiations, Smith fired another round into the ceiling of the home. Smith eventually agreed to come out of the bedroom unarmed and surrendered to law enforcement at 4:20-a.m., Monday After being taken into custody, he was transported to CHI Health Missouri Valley Hospital for a psychological evaluation.
Smith was being held at the Harrison County Jail on charges of intimidation with a dangerous weapon (a Class C felony), for shooting out of the window into a populated area, Intimidation with a dangerous weapon (a Class D felony), for firing at the ceiling in the residence, and, Interference with official acts (which is also a Class D felony).
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Vikings star Adrian Peterson offered encouragement to Jamaal Charles on Wednesday, three days after his Chiefs counterpart sustained a torn ACL in his right knee against Chicago. It was Charles who, after tearing his left ACL four years ago, reached out to Peterson later in the season. Minnesota’s running back had just torn the same ligament in his knee that December. Both players returned from their injuries the following season.
Peterson said he can’t imagine having to go through the painful hours of rehabilitation for a second torn ACL, which Charles is facing. But he also said that his fellow Texan has the “God-given ability” to come back from such a devastating injury. The Chiefs visit the Vikings on Sunday.
