The Harlan Police Department reports the arrests of several people the past few days.
On July 12, 25-year old David Coenen was arrested on a valid Shelby County warrant. The warrant was for domestic abuse assault stemming from an incident on July 6th. Coenen was transported to the Shelby County Hail where, in addition to the warrant, he was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and prohibited acts penalties.
On July 14, 59-year-old Thomas Wageman of Harlan was taken into custody following a traffic stop. He was taken to the Shelby County jail where he was charged with driving while revoked, reckless driving, and no proof of insurance.
Also on July 14, 30-year-old Kimberly Konecny of Harlan was taken into custody when officers were called to Concerned Inc for a disturbance. Konecny was taken to the Shelby County jail where she was booked for public intoxication.
On Monday, 29-year-old Nathan Ayers of Harlan was arrested when police were called to a disturbance at 605 Spring. Ayers was taken to the Shelby County Jail where he was charged with public intoxication, interference with official acts and assault on a police officer.
Also on Monday, 30-year-old Joseph Schoemann of Harlan was arrested for driving while barred when he was observed by officers driving on 12th street. He was taken to the Shelby County Jail.
On Tuesday, 58-year-old Larry Meurer of Harlan when officers responded to a 911 hang up call. He was transported to the Shelby County Jail where he was charged with assault.
And on Thursday, 23-year-old Paula Koestner of Harlan was cited for two counts of allowing a dog to run at large. Officers were called to the 700 block of Broadway on July 12 and again July 15 for a dog running at large and acting vicious to persons passing by. She was cited and released.
