TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (AP) – Devonte Brown scored 15 points, leading five players in double figures as Indiana State rolled to a 75-54 victory over Drake on Saturday afternoon. Brown finished with six assists and Khristian Smith added 13 points and six rebounds. Grant Prusator and Tre’ Bennett chipped in 12 points apiece, and Jake Kitchell had 10 as the Sycamores combined to shoot almost 55 percent from the floor, and 10 of 21 from distance.
Indiana State (13-13, 9-5) remains in third place in the Missouri Valley Conference. C.J. Rivers made back-to-back layups and Ore Arogundade hit a jumper to close Drake within 52-47 with 9:21 left to play. The Bulldogs then went cold over the next 5:57, and Indiana State racked up 17-straight points to put the game away. Trevor Berkeley scored 18 points and Reed Timmer added 14 for the Bulldogs (8-18, 5-9).
