An Atlantic man was arrested this (Wednesday) morning, on an assault charge. 57-year old Terry Calhoun faces a charge of Domestic Abuse Assault, according to Atlantic Police. Calhoun was booked into the Cass County Jail. And, 27-year old Tony Mack of Atlantic, was arrested on a charge of OWI/1st Offense. Mack was also booked into the jail, in Atlantic.

Clarinda Police Chief Keith Brothers reports there appears to be a significant water outage in northwest Clarinda. The outage affects the area of Country Club Drive & West Walnut Street. Numerous residences are without water at this time. City of Clarinda personnel & People’s Service personnel have responded and are investigating the problem.

MARILYN OHMS, 85, of Anita died Wednesday October 2nd at Caring Acres in Anita. Funeral services for MARILYN OHMS will be held on Saturday, October 5th at 10:30 am in the Anita United Methodist Church. Hockenberry Family Care Funeral Home in Anita has the arrangements.
