Sauce:
1. In an 11 inch x 7 inch microwave safe dish coated with cooking spray, combine the first six ingredients. Microwave, uncovered, on high for 2-3 minutes or until mixture comes to a boil.
2. Carefully add salmon to dish. Cover and microwave at 70% power for five to 5 1/2 minutes or until fish flakes easily with a fork.
3. Meanwhile, in a small bowl, combine the sour cream, cucumber, onion, salt and basil. Remove salmon from poaching liquid. Serve with sauce.
Yield: 4 servings
The top two teams from the sectional meets will face off head to head tonight. After the semi-final round, the winning teams will compete in the finals for a berth in the state dual team tournament on Wednesday, February 15 at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines.

DON MAYES, 93, of Greenfield, died Mon., Feb. 6th, at the Adair County Memorial Hospital in Greenfield. Funeral services for DON MAYES will be held 10:30-a.m. Fri., Feb. 10th, at the Greenfield United Methodist Church. Steen Funeral Home in Greenfield has the arrangements.
A Masonic service will be held at 6pm Thu., Feb. 9th, at the funeral home, where visitation is open from 2-8pm Thursday, and a family visitation is from 6:30-8pm. Online condolences may be left to the family at www.steenfunerals.com.
Burial, with full military rites, will be held in Greenfield Cemetery.

His wife – Bea Mayes, of Greenfield.
His sons – John (Deborah) Mayes, of San Antonio, TX, & Craig Mayes, of Des Moines.
His daughter – Jane (Patrick) Beeman, of Grimes.
4 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.

Police in Red Oak arrested 27-year old Scott Jacob Cisar, Monday. Cisar, of Red Oak, was wanted on a warrant charging him with assault. He was being held in the Montgomery County Jail on $300 bond.
