Denison-Schleswig was led by Ellie Mendlik with wins in the 400m, 800m, and 15000m.

Atlantic had a win in the Distance Medley and Taylor Hansen won the 200m as well for the Trojans

Atlantic had three individual winners. Gratt Reed won the 110 High Hurdles and improved his best time of the year to move into the top four in the state.  Brendan Holmes also had a season best time in winning the 400m Hurdles.  Jaxson Eden won the 1600m.

Mitchell Nelsen led the way for Audubon with wins in the 110m Hurdles and 400m Hurdles. The Wheelers also won the 4x100m Relay, 4x200m Relay, 4x800m Relay, and Shuttle Hurdle Relay.

Griswold got a big night from David Thompson who won the 800m, 1600m, and 3200m Runs.  AJ Hartman won the 100m and Jadon

Shenandoah had 4 individual winners and won two relays on their way to the title.  Jake Cerven won the 100m, Logan Roberts won the 200m, Jordan Miller won the 800m, and Austin Fichter won the Discus.  The Mustangs won the 4x100m Relay and 4x200m Relay.

Glenwood was led by another round of wins from Linnea Konfrst in the Discus and Shot Put.  The Rams also won the 4x200m, 4x800m, Shuttle Hurdle Relay, and Sprint Medley.

Merzedes Hart won the 100m and 200m for AL.  The Lynx also won the 4x400m Relay and Distance Medley. Darby Thomas won the Long Jump and the 400m, and Claire Jones took the 1500m.

Kylan Straight of Logan-Magnolia won the 100m Hurdles and Kye Madsen of Lewis Central won the 3000m.  Mackenzie Daffer of Sidney won the 400m Hurdles.

Southwest Valley got wins from Elizabeth Herzberg in the 400m Hurdles and Danica Sunderman in the Discus.

Guthrie Center got wins from Savanna Fuller in the 100m and Long Jump. The Tigers also won the 4x200m Relay.

CAM picked up relay wins in the Shuttle Hurdles and 4x400m.

DANIEL “Boomer” TWOMBLY, 64, of Greenfield, died Friday, April 22nd, at the Adair County Memorial Hospital in Greenfield.  A Prayer service for DANIEL TWOMBLY will be held 10:30-a.m. Tuesday, April 26th, at the Steen Funeral Home in Greenfield.
There will be no visitation. Online condolences may be left to the family at www.steenfunerals.com.
Memorials may be directed to the Boomer Twombly Memorial Fund to be established by the family at a later date.
DANIEL “Boomer” TWOMBLY is survived by:
His mother – Dorothy Twombly, of Greenfield.

Fremont County drug investigation results in 2 arrests

Fremont County Sheriff Kevin Aistrope reports two people were arrested early this (Friday) morning as the result of an investigation into drug activity, in Farragut. 22-year old Shelby Conn, of Tabor, and 31-year old Jason Crouse, of Shenandoah, were both arrested for Delivery of Methamphetamine.

They were taken into custody at the intersection of Highway 2 and Manti Road, following an incident in Farragut. Both Crouse and Conn were transported to the Sheriffs Office and were being held on $50,000 cash only bonds.

The Fremont County Sheriffs Office was assisted during the arrest, by the Iowa State Patrol.
