The Atlantic Trojans girls basketball team had an ice cold shooting night from the field and suffered a 51-20 loss to the Glenwood Rams on Tuesday.
Neither team could find the bottom of the cylinder early and it was just a 19-14 Glenwood lead at halftime. The Rams found some shooting touch in the second half and began to build a lead. It was 31-19 by the end of the third quarter in favor of Glenwood.
Atlantic only made 6 field goals on the night and ended with their lowest point output of the season. McKenzie Waters was the top scorer for the Trojans with 6 points and the Trojans dropped to 1-11. They next host Lewis Central on Friday.
Glenwood was led by 11 points from three different players: Elle Scarborough, Brooklyn Taylor, and Joslyn Lewis. Lewis had all of her points in the second half and hit three triples. The Rams improved to 4-7 and will next host St. Albert on Friday.
