MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) — Redshirt freshman Grant Rohach threw a 25-yard touchdown pass to Justin Coleman in the third overtime and Iowa State came from 24 points down to beat West Virginia 52-44 on Saturday night. Rohach finished with four TD passes and ran for a fifth score as the Cyclones (3-9, 2-7 Big 12) finished a disappointing season with two straight wins.

The Mountaineers (4-8, 2-7) led 31-7 early in the second quarter but ended the year with six losses in their final seven games. Iowa State forced overtime on Rohach’s 19-yard TD toss to Coleman with a minute left. The teams traded field goals in the first two overtimes. After Rohach’s TD to Coleman in the third overtime, Rohach threw a two-point conversion pass to E.J. Bibbs.

West Virginia advanced to the 4 on its possession but couldn’t score. Clint Trickett’s fourth-down pass was caught short of the goal line.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — The Kansas City Chiefs put defensive back Sanders Commings on injured reserve Saturday with a shoulder injury and promoted linebacker Josh Martin from the practice squad. The Chiefs (9-2) play the Denver Broncos (9-2) on Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium.

Commings was the Chiefs’ fifth-round draft pick out of Georgia. He broke his collarbone early in training camp and spent the first part of the season on short-term IR. Commings only played in two games and made one tackle before sustaining what coach Andy Reid called a shoulder injury.

Martin joined the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent in May. He was inactive for the first three games before spending time on the practice squad.

DECATUR, Neb. (AP) — Travelers driving over a Missouri River bridge at Decatur in Nebraska to cross over into Iowa are paying their last toll to use the bridge. The toll booth is closing Saturday now that the ownership of the bridge has been turned over from a private company to Iowa and Nebraska state transportation departments.

KTIV television reports both states will share duties of snow removal and maintenance on the bridge that carries 40,000 to 50,000 vehicles a month. The bridge links Nebraska and Iowa about halfway between Omaha and Sioux City. Many drivers cross from Decatur to Iowa heading to Onawa about seven miles to the east in Iowa.

It has cost $1 to cross over but no more after Saturday.
