It was Mayer’s sixth Xfinity Series win in his last 29 starts but his name is rarely mention as one of those who may get promoted to the Cup Series.

June 15th, 2024 by Ric Hanson

Kyle Larson will start on the pole for Sunday’s Iowa Corn 350 at the Iowa Speedway. Larson turned the quickest lap during the final qualifying run and will start on the pole of the first NASCAR Cup Series race at the Iowa Speedway.

Larson is splitting his time this weekend between Iowa Speedway and a World of Outlaws sprint car weekend at the Knoxville Raceway. Larson is excited to be part of the first Cup race at the Iowa Speedway.

Larson says the recent repaving in both sets of turns means there are a lot of unknowns heading into Sunday night’s race.

Ryan Blaney will start on the outside of row one.
