Iowa WBB to make 13 National TV appearances

IOWA CITY, Iowa — The Big Ten Network released its television schedule for the 2021-22 women’s basketball season Tuesday.

The Hawkeyes will make 13 appearances on National Television, including FS1 once, ESPN2 twice, and BTN a minimum of nine times and one game on a network not yet determined. All of Iowa’s remaining games will be available on BTN Plus.

Iowa finished the 2020-21 season 20-10 overall and advanced to the Sweet 16 at the NCAA Tournament. The Hawkeyes tallied an 11-8 Big Ten record, and return nine letterwinners, including all five starters — Caitlin Clark, Monika Czinano, Gabbie Marshall, Kate Martin, and McKenna Warnock.

Iowa MBB start times and TV information announced

IOWA CITY, Iowa — The Big Ten Conference announced on Tuesday start times, and television and streaming information for the 2021-22 men’s basketball season.

Iowa will appear on Big Ten Network 12 times during the regular season, eight times on FS1, five times on ESPN or ESPN2, and once on FOX. Six early season contests, including the exhibition contest on Nov. 5, will be streamed via B1G+.

Start times for eight regular season games, including the 2021 Big Ten/ACC Men’s Basketball Challenge, will be announced at a later date.

Season tickets ($365 public; $315 faculty; $75 student), Fight For Iowa Mobile Pass ($199) and flex package ($150) are currently on sale at hawkeyesports.com. Single-game tickets for all 19 home games will go on sale to the general public on Thursday, Oct. 7.

Purdue at Iowa tickets sold out

IOWA CITY, Iowa — The University of Iowa’s Homecoming football contest versus Purdue, scheduled for Oct. 16 at Duke Slater Field at Kinnick Stadium, is sold out. The announcement was made Tuesday by the UI Athletics Department. The contest will kickoff at 2:30 p.m. (CT) and will be televised nationally on ABC.

Iowa (5-0) has opened the season with wins over No. 17 Indiana (34-6), No. 9 Iowa State (27-17), Kent State (30-7), Colorado State (24-14), and Maryland (51-14). The Hawkeyes are ranked third nationally by the Associated Press and in the coaches poll.

Tickets remain for Iowa’s final two home games of 2021: Minnesota on Nov. 13 and Illinois on Nov. 20.
