The Hawkeyes have won five of six with two games remaining in their regular season. E.J. Liddell had 15 points and Justice Sueing added 10 for the Buckeyes. Recently being projected as a No. 1 NCAA Tournament seed, they’ve lost three games in eight days.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — The Royals and third baseman Hunter Dozier have agreed to a $25 million, four-year contract that includes a fifth-year option, a person with knowledge of the agreement has told The Associated Press. The person spoke on the condition of anonymity Sunday because the deal was pending a physical. ESPN.com was first to report the deal, which buys out two years of free agency and includes several escalators and bonuses. The 29-year-old Dozier has long been considered a cornerstone of the Royals rebuild, especially after a breakthrough 2019 season in which he hit 26 homers, tied for the American League lead with 10 triples and drove in 84 runs.

(AP) — Jasmine Franklin scored 12 points and grabbed a career-high 17 rebounds off the bench and No. 23-ranked Missouri State fought off a sluggish start to beat Loyola Chicago 59-45. Franklin came off a career-high 25 points set in a win against the Ramblers on Saturday. The Bears extended their win streak to 17 straight in conference and 14 overall, the eighth-best overall streak in school history and longest since the 2018-19 team won 13 straight. The Bears needed an 11-0 run to start the fourth to establish their first double-digit lead of the game at 45-33. Allison Day scored 14 for the Ramblers.

GENEVA, Ohio — The University of Iowa men’s track and field team scored a school-record 119 points to win the 2021 Big Ten Indoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio.

The Hawkeyes finished Day 3 with six more podium finishes, winning the team’s first outright indoor conference title since 1929. Iowa shared the team title in 1963.

The Hawkeye women placed third with 75 points. It matches the highest finish in program history.

Iowa totaled 19 points in the men’s 60-meter hurdles. Gratt Reed led the way with a second-place finish and career-best 7.81. Reed’s time moves him into sixth all-time in program history. Josh Braverman earned bronze with a career best 7.82. Jamal Britt finished fourth in 7.82. Britt, Reed, and Braverman now hold three of the top seven best times in program history.

AMES, Iowa (AP) — RJ Nembhard scored 11 of his 19 points in the final seven minutes, and TCU snapped its three-game losing streak with a 76-72 win over Iowa State. Mike Miles added 19 points for TCU, including a driving layup with 23 seconds left that made it 72-68. Chuck O’Bannon Jr. had 11 points and Kevin Samuel scored 10. The Cyclones railed by as much as 14 in the first half but made 11 of 14 shots to start the second and tied it at 53 on Jalen Coleman-Lands’ back-to-back 3-pointers. Tre Jackson added another 3-pointer to give Iowa State its first lead of the game at 56-53, but TCU went in front for good at 59-58.

PEORIA, Ill. (AP) — Jayson Kent had 15 points off the bench to lift Bradley to a 67-61 win over Drake. Joseph Yesufu led the Bulldogs on Saturday night with 21 points.

NORMAL, Ill. (AP) — Noah Carter scored 22 points and Bowen Born had 21 points and seven assists as Northern Iowa defeated Illinois State 94-87 in double overtime. Austin Phyfe had 18 points, nine rebounds and five assists for Northern Iowa. Trae Berhow added 14 points and six rebounds. Phyfe forced overtime with a hook shot in the lane with 1.1 seconds left, and Born had a bank shot roll off at the end of the first overtime. Born made two free throws with 1:05 left in the game for a 93-83 lead. DJ Horne scored a career-high 34 points for the Redbirds.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (AP) — Dom Williams scored a pair of fourth-quarter touchdowns and Northern Iowa smothered Youngstown State 21-0. Matthew Cook kicked field goals of 32 and 41 yards in each of the first two quarters to give the Panthers a 6-0 halftime lead. After a scoreless third, Williams plunged in from 2 yards early in the fourth to end an 11-play, 57-yard drive for a 13-0 lead.

A little more than six minutes later, Williams crashed in from a yard out and the two-point conversion made it 21-0.

IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) — Iowa forward Jack Nunge will miss the remainder of the season after injuring his right knee in the ninth-ranked Hawkeyes’ loss at No. 3 Michigan last Thursday. School officials said the 6-foot-11 sophomore has a torn meniscus and is expected to undergo surgery next week.

Nunge was averaging 7.1 points and 5.3 rebounds per game. This marks the second time Nunge suffered a season-ending knee injury in just over a year. He tore the anterior cruciate ligament in the same knee on Nov. 24, 2019.
