HAROLD McCURDY, 87, of Panora, died Saturday, April 8th, at home. Funeral services for HAROLD McCURDY will be held 10:30-a.m. Thursday, April 13th, at the *Twigg Funeral Home in Panora. (*4/12 a change from previous announcements)
Burial will be in the West Cemetery at Panora.
HAROLD McCURDY is survived by:
His wife – Lyla.
His son – Randy (Kay) McCurdy.
His daughter – Pam (Don) Beardsley.
His brothers – Wilson, and Gary (Virginia) McCurdy.
His sister – Georgia (Jack) Davis.
4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
The Audubon County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest Saturday morning of 39-year old Timothy Duane Snyder, of Kimballton. Snyder was taken into custody for Domestic Abuse Assault, following an investigation into an incident in Kimballton earlier that same morning. Snyder was later released from custody after appearing before a magistrate.

In an update to our earlier report, the Iowa State Patrol says an 11-year old died and an adult male was injured during a UTV rollover accident Saturday afternoon in Winnebago County. The victim was identified as 11-year old Carter Trunkhill, of Woden. Carter, and 44-year old Matthew Trunkhill, also of Woden, were transported to the hospital in Britt, where the child died from his injuries.
The accident happened when they were riding a 2016 Polaris Ranger and turning left from a private driveway onto 100th Avenue. The machine went out of control and rolled onto its side. The driver was ejected. The accident happened at around 4:15-p.m.
SUSAN ELIZABETH BUCK, 64, of Tennant, died April 4th, at the Scott and White Memorial Hospital in Temple, TX. A Mass of Christian Burial for SUSAN BUCK will be held 11-a.m. Wed., April 12th, at St. Mary Our Lady of Fatima in Portsmouth. Pauley-Jones Funeral Home in Harlan has the arrangements.
Visitation at St. Mary’s in Portsmouth is from 5-until 8-p.m. Tuesday, with a Rosary at 7-p.m.
Burial will be in the Shelby Cemetery.

Her father – John “Buzz” Wendt, of Portsmouth.
Her husband – Steven Buck, of Tennant.
Her sons – Chris (Rhonda) Buck, and Craig Buck, all of Tennant, and Cory (Amanda) Buck, of Audubon.
Her daughter – Jackie (Roger) Schumacher, of Tennant.
Her sisters – Lucy (Ron) Knauss, of Portsmouth; Peg (Bob) Barta, Bev (Rich) Priestly, all of Salado, TX., and Traci (Trent) Schuning, of Portsmouth.
Her brothers – John (Mary Ann) Wendt, of Panama, and Larry Wendt, of Portsmouth.
