Power outages and debris on the roads in Atlantic

News, Weather

August 21st, 2017 by Ric Hanson

Persons traveling in and around Atlantic early this morning should be on the lookout for downed tree limbs and debris on the streets. KJAN News Director Ric Hanson observed several streets where tree limbs had fallen across the road and inhibited travel except for higher profile vehicles. There was also a large amount of snapped twigs and smaller branches covering the roads as of 3:15-a.m., along with some pieces of trash.

The debris was made even more difficult to see, because a large part of town was without power and street lights were dark. Be careful if you most travel early this morning!
