In an update to our weekend reports, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office today (Monday), released additional information with regard an accident that occurred Saturday morning. Officials say they were notified at around 9:28-a.m., that a two-vehicle accident had taken place at Highway 148 and Jackson Road.
A 2013 Ford F250 owned and driven by 59-year old Danny Dean Kirchhoff, of Lewis, was northbound on Highway 148, when a 2007 Ford Edge driven by 29-year old Bret Nicholas Brown, which was southbound on Highway 148, attempted a left turn onto Jackson Road, striking Kirchhoff’s vehicle.
Both vehicles ended up in the east ditch. No injuries were reported. Damage to Kirchhoff’s vehicle is estimated at $10,000; damage to Brown’s vehicle is also estimated at $10,000. Brown was cited for Failure to Yield Upon Left Turn.
