Atlantic Head Coach Ed Den Beste: “This was the best weather day that we have had to play this year.  Hoping for some low scores.  It was tough today with the green.  We had some struggles adjusting to the speed and how to chip today.  It took us several holes to make those adjustments.  I thought Hudson had a solid round today being that he had never played the course.  Roth also played well.  Had a few too many double bogeys that hurt his overall score.  Tristan didn’t play his best.  Just couldn’t get it going.  Cruz rebounded well after last week.  Hopefully he continues to play better.  I thought Tate did fine with his score.  Missed a short putt to keep it in the 80s but still solid for our 6th golfer.  Sam had to adjust the the length of the course.  It was his first time as well.  I would have liked our team score to be lower but compared to other scores, not that bad.  This was a good test for us.  Lots of teams we will see in several tournament as well as our road to state.”

Atlantic head coach Kathy Hobson: “This course requires some precision and we scattered too many shots.  Shot placement is crucial. Hopefully we all learned from playing a course like this as we will see the importance of that again. 18 holes is draining.  You need a positive mindset and ability to focus whole round.”
