Red Oak woman arrested on Adams County Warrant

The Red Oak Police Department reports the arrest of 32-year-old Mildred Helenora Douglas of Red Oak on an Adams County Warrant for Failure to Appear. Douglas was arrested on Friday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. in the 1300 block of North Broadway Street in Red Oak. Douglas was then transported to the Adams County Sheriff’s Office and turned over into their custody.

DAN CARL KNUDSEN, 67, of Harlan died Wednesday, April 27th. Funeral services for DAN CARL KNUDSEN will be held on Tuesday, May 3rd at 10:30 a.m. at Faith Family Church in Harlan. Pauley-Jones Funeral Home in Harlan has the arrangements.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 2nd from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Faith Family Church in Harlan.

Burial will be in the Jacksonville Cemetery.

Father: Lyle H. Knudsen of Harlan.

Wife: Lorie Knudsen of Harlan.

Sons: Stefan (Lori) Knudsen of Hallsville, MO. Gregory (Kerrie) Knudsen of White Oak, IA.

Daughter: Katrina (Seth) Lansman of Omaha, NE.

Sister: Beth (Howard) Lebrecht of Jensen Beach, FL.

Northeastern Cass County in southeastern Nebraska…

* Until 930 PM CDT.

* At 825 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Louisville,
or 20 miles south of Omaha, moving northeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD…70 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
roofs, and outbuildings.

* This severe thunderstorm will be near…
Cedar Creek around 835 PM CDT.
Springfield around 840 PM CDT.

Other locations in the path of this severe thunderstorm include

NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK 830 PM CDT FRI APR 29 2022

SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 161 IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 400 AM CDT FOR THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS: IOWA COUNTIES INCLUDED ARE ADAIR ADAMS CASS CLARKE DECATUR MADISON RINGGOLD TAYLOR UNION.

* Primary threats include…

  • Scattered damaging winds and isolated significant gusts to 80
    mph likely
  • Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2 inches in diameter possible
  • A tornado or two possible

SUMMARY…A band of severe thunderstorms is expected to cross the
watch area from west-east this evening, offering severe gusts,
sporadic large hail, with a tornado also possible embedded in the
complex.

The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 50
statute miles east and west of a line from 50 miles southwest of
Knob Noster MO to 60 miles north northwest of Lamoni IA.
