AMES, Iowa – Iowa State senior linebacker Colby Reeder has accepted an invitation to play in the Hula Bowl, played Saturday, January 14 at UCF-FBC Mortgage Stadium in Orlando, Florida.
The Hula Bowl was first played in 1947 and remains one of the best collegiate all-star games. Reeder is the first Cyclone to play in the Hula Bowl since Tim Dobbins and Steve Paris in 2005.
Reeder, a Hockessin, Delaware, native, played one season for the Cyclones after transferring from Delaware. He earned All-Big 12 honorable mention honors.
Reeder played and started eight games for Iowa State. He finished with 38 tackles, including 4.5 stops for a loss. He notched one sack and had two interceptions.
He also broke up a pair of passes and recovered a fumble.
