Heller says having Sunday off gave the bullpen added rest.

Two-time Olympic champ Ryan Crouser prepares for his return to the Drake Relays

Sports

April 18th, 2023 by Ric Hanson

Two-time Olympic shot put champion Ryan Crouser returns to Des Moines next week. Crouser will be part of a first of its kind team indoor event before taking part in the outdoor competition in Drake Stadium on April 29.

Crouser says there are only a few big meets in the United States each year.

Crouser will try and best his indoor World Record next week. He topped it back in February at a meet in Idaho but World Athletics announced last week it would not ratify it as a record because the shot put ring was too large and the landing area was too downhill from the ring.

The Drake Relays are April 25th through the 29th.
