The Audubon County Sheriff’s Office reports an Atlantic man was arrested Friday night on an outstanding warrant out of Audubon County, for Revocation of his probation. The warrant for 50-year old Robert Charles Atkinson stems from an original charge of 3rd Offense Public Intoxication. Atkinson was picked up from Cass County authorities and brought to the Audubon County Jail, where he was being held on $10,000 bond.
HAROLD “PEPPER” MARTIN, 93, of Panora, died Fri., March 23rd, at his home. Funeral services for HAROLD MARTIN will be held 10:30-a.m. Wed., March 28th, at the Twigg Funeral Home in Panora.
Visitation at the funeral home is from 6-8pm Tue., March 27th.
Burial will be in the Prairie Center Cemetery in rural Yale.
CLARA E. HOEFLER, 85, of Earling, died Mon., March 26th, at the Little Flower Haven Nursing Home in Earling. Funeral services for CLARA HOEFLER were held Thu., March 29th. Fisch Funeral Home in Remsen was handling the arrangements. http://www.fischfh.com/

Atlantic took a small squad to the South Dakota Indoor Track Meet on Saturday. Among the Atlantic results, Sam Petersen placed fifth in the 500 meter event. The 4 by 200 meter team of Melanie Nielsen, Sam Petersen, Amanda Gude and Ali Siggins placed fifth. Also the 4 by 400 team of Nielsen, Gude, Siggins and Petersenplaced fifth. The Trojanns will open up the outdoor season on Tuesday at Harlan for the Hawkeye 10 North Division Meet.
