One person was hurt during a single-vehicle rollover accident Sunday night, northeast of Red Oak. The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department reports 45-year old Danny Leroy Lewis, of Red Oak, was transported to the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital following the 8:35-p.m. crash in the 1900 block of Avenue K.
Authorities say Lewis was traveling north on K Avenue when his 1990 Nissan pickup crossed the road, entered the west ditch and rolled over. Lewis was pinned in the vehicle and had to be extricated by Red Oak Fire and Rescue personnel. Officials say alcohol played a role in the crash, and charges are pending against Lewis. Damage from the accident amounted to $2,500.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by officers with the Red Oak Police Department and Red Oak Fire and Rescue.
Sheriff’s officials in Adams County say an accident Sunday evening resulted in the arrest of a woman on alcohol-related charges. Tammy Oltman, of Prescott, was charged with Operating a motor vehicle While Intoxicated. Oltman was booked into the Adams County Jail following the accident, which occurred at around 4:35-p.m, Sunday. No injuries were reported as a result of the accident, and no other details were provided.
No injuries were reported following a collision between a car and a tractor Sunday afternoon near Nodaway, in Adams County. The Sheriff’s Department says Tanya Barnard, of Lamoni, went to pass a farm tractor at around 3:15-p.m. As she was passing the machine, the tractor proceeded to make a turn into the path of Dodge Intrepid Barnard was driving. No citations were issued.
ROBERT “BOB” BRANSON, 86, of Guthrie Center, died Sun., Nov. 18th, at The New Homestead in Guthrie Center. Funeral services for BOB BRANSON will be held 10:30-a.m. Wed., Nov. 21st, at the 1st Christian Church in Panora. Twigg Funeral Home in Panora has the arrangements.
Visitation is from 4-to 7-pm Tue., Nov. 20th, at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 5-7pm.
Burial is in the Union Cemetery at Guthrie Center.
HOLLY SUE GARDNER, 43, of Glenwood , died Sun., Nov. 18th, at the Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs. Graveside services for HOLLY GARDNER will be held 11-a.m. Mon., Nov. 26th, at the Oaklawn Cemetery in Oakland. Rieken Vieth Funeral Home in Oakland has the arrangements.
There is no visitation or viewing.

AMES, Iowa (AP) — Tyrus McGee scored 16 points off the bench and Iowa State beat Campbell 88-68 on Sunday night.Will Clyburn added 15 points and eight rebounds for the Cyclones (3-0), who registered assists on 22 of 32 baskets in Ames. Iowa State broke open a tight game with a 14-0 run late in the first half and held a relatively comfortable lead the rest of the way. Darren White had 20 points for Campbell (2-2), which is picked to win its division of the Big South this season.
