Vehicle reported stolen from Union County

Authorities in Union County are asking for your help in locating a vehicle reported stolen sometime Wednesday night or early this morning, from a residence about four-miles north/northeast of Creston.

A vehicle similar to this, was reported stolen from rural Union County.

The Sheriff’s Department described the vehicle as a red, 4-door, 2000 model-year Oldsmobile Alero. It’s license plate reads 184 WZD.

The vehicle was reported missing from 1131 Hawk Avenue. If you have any information about the car, call the Union County Sheriff’s Department at 1-641-782-8402.

The Atlantic Police Department reports the arrest early this (Thursday) morning, of 21-year old Cheyenne Register. The Atlantic woman was charged with 1st offense OWI. She was booked into the Cass County Jail pending an appearance before the magistrate.

JEROME “JERRY” BLUML, 89, of Manning, died Thu., Jan. 3rd, at the Manning Hospital. A Mass of Christian Burial service for JERRY BLUML will be held at 2:00 P.M. Mon., Jan., 7th at the Sacred Heart Church in Manning. Ohde Funeral Home in Manning is in charge of arrangements.

Friends may call the Ohde Funeral Home in Manning after 4:00 P.M. on Sun., Jan., 6th. A Rosary and Prayer service will take place at the funeral home, beginning at 6-p.m., Sunday.

Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Manning.

JEROME “JERRY” BLUML is survived by:

His sons – David (Diana) Bluml of Evansdale; Thomas (Janell) Bluml of Audubon, and Michael Bluml of Manning.

His brothers – Elmer (Bernice) Bluml, of Carroll; Glenn (Sharon) Bluml, of Hawarden; Don (Carol) Blum, of Dubuque.

His sisters – Ardella Irlbeck, of Templeton; Ardith (Albert) Sturm, of Manning; Margaret Hinners, of Manning, and Charlene Stork, of Glidden.

His sister-in-law, and 7 grandchildren.

Drug-related arrest Wed. in Red Oak

A man from Montgomery County was arrested Wednesday night on drug charges. According to the Red Oak Police Department, 23-year-old Edward Taylor-Harmon, of Red Oak, was taken into custody at around 11-p.m., Wednesday.  Taylor-Harmon faces a Possession of a Controlled Substance charge when he appears before a magistrate later this (Thursday) morning. He was being held  in the Montgomery County jail on a $1,000 cash only bond.
