Today’s weather picture

News, Weather

April 10th, 2013 by Ric Hanson

Low pressure will continue to push eastward across Missouri today and into the lower Great Lakes region by Thursday night. Thunderstorms will continue intermittently through tonight, especially across the east. Moderate to heavy rainfall is possible with thunderstorms and may lead to localized areas of ponding water and rises on local streams and rivers. A flash flood watch is in effect for eastern Iowa. Colder air will push south into the region throughout the day today, with rain gradually changing to snow. A wintry mix is likely across the northwest, with freezing rain also possible across the north overnight. Accumulating snow will be restricted to the north and west. Higher snowfall totals are possible north of Iowa, with light snow lingering into Thursday.

3rd – Sam Markham 74

7th – Travis Olsen 76

9th – Ben Nelson 78

12th – Nick Barry 81
Sam Renaud 87
Coach Ed Den Beste says:
Atlantic wins the Shenandoah Tournament with a score of 296. We were hoping for a good day with the weather. We started at a decent temp but it dropped quickly and drizzle came on. Not a great day to golf, but what a great day to score. Evan Schuler had a great front and a super back nine. -2 in this weather is an amazing score. He finished birdie, birdie. Sam Markham played well. Still looking for that birdie but played a solid 74. Travis Olsen had struggles on the close of the front nine but had a very strong back to score 76. I thought Nick Barry played well with an 81. Sam Renaud had a good front nine but struggled to start. (87). Great round of golf in tough conditions.
