ARLETTA JEAN LARSEN, 77, of Kirkman, died Sun., Oct. 27th, at Creighton University Medical Center, in Omaha. Funeral services for ARLETTA LARSEN will be held 11-a.m. Thu., Oct. 31st, at the 1st Baptist Church in Elk Horn. Pauley-Jones Funeral Home in Harlan has the arrangements.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 8-am to 9-pm Wednesday (10/30), with the family greeting friends from 6-to 8:30-pm.
Burial will be in the Merrill’s Grove Cemetery at Fiscus.
ARLETTA LARSEN is survived by:
Her husband – Eugene Larsen, of Kirkman.
Her daughters – Ronda Long, of Des Moines; Brenda (Tim) Kustka, of Billings, MT; and Linda (Larry) Ohlinger, of Harlan.
Her son – Rod Larsen, of Kirkman.
Her sisters – Jenice (John) Montony, of Meridian, ID and Judy Schlicht (& Dave Warner), of Des Moines.
Her brother – Jerry Schlicht, of Elliott.
and 6 grandchildren.
JoANN LARSEN, 66, of Denison, died Sun., Oct. 27th, at the Denison Care Center. Funeral services for JoANN LARSEN will be held 11-a.m. Fri., Nov. 1st, at the Pauley-Jones Funeral Home in Harlan.
Visitation at the funeral home will be held from 6- to 8-pm Thu., Oct. 31st.
JoANN LARSEN is survived by:
Her sisters – Linda Larsen, of Omaha, and Diana Larsen, of Council Bluffs.
Her step-brothers: Bill Stuhr, of Harlan, and Dick (Marlene) Stuhr, of Houston, TX.
Her step-sisters: Deloris Summers, of Marshalltown, and Betty Kroger, of St. George, UT.
And her Special Friend – Jim Smith, of Denison.
The Atlantic Police Department reports two arrests took place Saturday. 37-year old Mandy Bolin, of Atlantic, was arrested on a warrant for Failure to Appear on a 5th degree Theft charge. And, 29-year old Cody Hanson, of Atlantic, was arrested for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Hanson was also wanted on a Buena Vista County warrant for False Imprisonment. Both subjects were brought to the Cass County Jail and held pending a court appearance.

Two people were taken into custody early this (Monday) morning, in Red Oak. According to the Red Oak Police Department, 21-year-old Jeremy Allen Aparo, of Griswold was arrested at around 2:15-a.m., for Possession of a controlled substance/marijuana, and Possession of drug paraphernalia. 20-year-old Wilson D. Baker, of Council Bluffs, was arrested at around the same time on a Possession of drug paraphernalia charge. Aparo was brought to the Montgomery County Jail, where he was being held on $1,000 cash bond, while Baker was cited for his offense, and released.
