Authorities in Mills County report five accidents occurred Saturday on frost covered roads, but only one person was injured. Officials say Alexander Neff, of Glenwood,was driving a 2004 Pontiac northbound on 221st Street, when the car went off the roadway to the right and hit a power pole.The accident happened at around 7:25-a.m., about 7-miles north of Glenwood. Neff was transported to Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs, by Glenwood Rescue.
Road surface conditions were 100% frost covered. The Sheriff’s Department says the County Roads Department was notified of the slippery conditions, but did not respond.
