MARY ANN IRLMEIER, 79, of Carroll (& formerly of Templeton), died Wed., Feb. 19th, at St. Anthony Nursing Home in Carroll. A Mass of Christian Burial Service for MARY ANN IRLMEIER will be held 10:30-a.m. Mon., Feb. 24th, at the Sacred Heart Church in Templeton.  Ohde Funeral Home in Manning has the arrangements.

Visitation at the Sacred Heart Church  in Templeton is open after 3-p.m. Sunday (2/23), with a Rosary at 4-pm followed by a Prayer service by the Catholic Daughters. Visitation will resume 9:30-a.m. Monday at the Sacred Heart Church.

Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery near Templeton.

Her children: Carol (Jim) Strautman, of Carroll; JoAnn (David) Beane, of Audubon; Donna (Loren) Eischeid, of Bedford; Debra (Kyle) Hansen, of Templeton; Connie (Dave) Hoffman, of Willey; Janice (Tim) Andersen, of Audubon; Bruce (Annissa) Irlmeier, of Templeton; Thomas “Fly” Irmeier & wife Kim, of Gray; Linda (Luke) Croghan, of Manning, & Brenda (Paul) Croghan, of Malvern.

Her brothers – Bernard “Sonny” Irlbeck & wife Helen, of Templeton; Jerome Irlbeck, of Manning; John (Barb) Irlbeck, of Coon Rapids; Raymond (Marian) Irlbeck, of Manning; Jim (Pat) Irlbeck, of Manning; LeRoy (Elaine) Irlbeck, of Manning; Tom (Dawn) Irlbeck, of Aspinwall; Fred (Karen) Irlbeck, of Aspinwall, & Eugene (Mary Jo) Irlbeck, of Carroll.

ELSIE M. PORSCH, 95, of Audubon, died Tue., Feb. 18th, at the Friendship Home in Audubon. Funeral services for ELSIE PORSCH will be held 10:30-a.m. Sat., Feb. 22nd, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Audubon. Kessler Funeral Home in Audubon has the arrangements.

Friends may call at the funeral home, where the family visitation is from 6:30-to 8:30-pm Friday (2/21).

Burial will be in the Arlington Heights Cemetery in Audubon.

ELSIE PORSCH is survived by:

Her son – Jo (Sally) Porsch, of Audubon.

SIGNIFICANT WINTER STORM AND BLIZZARD CONDITIONS TO IMPACT MUCH OF CENTRAL TO NORTHERN IOWA TODAY AND TONIGHT. .LOW PRESSURE WILL RAPIDLY INTENSIFY AS IT MOVES FROM KANSAS AND THROUGH FAR SOUTHEAST IOWA AND INTO WISCONSIN TODAY. RAIN WILL TRANSITION TO SNOW FROM WEST TO EAST. MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOWFALL AMOUNTS ARE EXPECTED ALONG WITH EXTREMELY STRONG WINDS BY AFTERNOON PRODUCING POOR VISIBILITIES AND BLIZZARD CONDITIONS.

AUDUBON-CASS-ADAIR-COUNTIES:

BLIZZARD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 9 AM THURSDAY 6 AM FRIDAY.

Today: Rain, snow, and freezing rain before 3pm, then a chance of snow. High near 34. Windy, with a north northeast wind 8 to 13 mph becoming northwest 21 to 26 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 40 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Little or no ice accumulation expected. Total daytime snow accumulation of 3 to 5 inches possible.
Tonight: Widespread blowing snow before midnight. Partly cloudy, with a low around 20. Wind chill values as low as 10. Windy, with a west northwest wind 14 to 22 mph, with gusts as high as 34 mph.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 44. Wind chill values as low as 5. West southwest wind 9 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph.
Friday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 20. Northwest wind 8 to 10 mph.

Saturday: Partly sunny, with a high near 36. North northwest wind 8 to 10 mph.

SAC-CRAWFORD-CARROLL-GUTHRIE-DALLAS COUNTIES..

A WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 9 AM THURSDAY TO 6 AM CST FRIDAY.

PERIODS OF HEAVY SNOW ARE EXPECTED ACROSS MUCH OF THE WARNING AREA WITH SNOWFALL RATES OF UP TO AN INCH PER HOUR. SOME THUNDERSNOW IS ALSO EXPECTED WHICH MAY ENHANCE RATES EVEN MORE. THE SNOW IS EXPECTED TO END BY THURSDAY EVENING AS THE SYSTEM PULLS AWAY.

3 TO 6 INCHES OF SNOW IS EXPECTED WITH ISOLATED HIGHER AMOUNTS.
