AMES, Iowa (AP) — Iowa State star Bryce Dejean-Jones has been suspended for Friday’s game against rival Iowa after being arrested and charged with multiple misdemeanors. Ames police spokesman Geoff Huff said Dejean-Jones was arrested around 3 a.m. Thursday after officers were called to his apartment over a noise complaint. A charge of gathering where marijuana is used has been dropped but he still faces two misdemeanors: a nuisance party and noise ordinance violation.
Coach Fred Hoiberg said he decided to suspend Dejean-Jones for one game Friday’s game between the 14th-ranked Cyclones (6-1) and Iowa (8-2).
