Police in Creston report the arrest Wednesday at the Union County Law Enforcement Center, of 20-year old James Arthur Franke, of Creston. Franke was taken into custody on a Union County warrant for Probation Violation, the original arrest for which was based on a charge of 2nd degree Burglary. Franke was later released from the jail on $1,000 bond.

ADELE R. PEDERSEN, 99, of Fergus Falls, MN (& formerly of Walnut), died Wed., June 10th, in Fergus Falls. Funeral services for ADELE PEDERSEN will be held 10:30-a.m. Mon., June 15th, at the 1st Presbyterian Church in Walnut. Burmeister-Johannsen Funeral Home in Harlan has the arrangements.

Burial will be in the Layton Township Cemetery in Walnut.

* WIDESPREAD THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING HEAVY RAIN TODAY INTO TONIGHT CAUSING WIDESPREAD TOTAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS RANGING FROM 2 TO 4 INCHES WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS CERTAINLY POSSIBLE.
