Jamaica (IA) man arrested after a brief foot pursuit

(Guthrie Center, Iowa) – Officials with the Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office report that on Friday October 11th, members of the Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office attempted to arrest Anthony Owens, of Jamaica, on probation/parole arrest warrants. Owens was successful in evading law enforcement on that date.
With the help of Guthrie County citizens, Owens was located at his home on October 15th. After a brief foot chase, he was taken into custody by members of the Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office, GCSO K9 team, and the Greene County Sheriff’s Office. Anthony Owens was booked into the Guthrie County Jail on new charges of interference with official acts, his arrest warrant, with additional charges pending.
