The Atlantic Golf & Country Club hosts with 66th Annual Tournament of Champions this weekend.  The 54-hole tournament opens Friday with the first of three rounds.

There will be three divisions again this year, Open, Senior and Super Senior.

All three defending champions are back in the field to defend their titles.  Ross Martens of Jefferson shot a 6-under 201 last year to win the open division by 4 strokes over Zach Christianson of Atlantic, who is also back in this years’ field.  Martens will play in the 12:36 pm group and Christianson will be part of the second group to play at 8:12 am.

Defending Senior champion Chris Nelson of Atlantic won by six strokes last year and will tee off today at 9:00 am.

Rick Thompson of Fairfield won the Super Senior Crown last year and will be part of the 10:00 am grouping today.

The tournament begins at 8:00 am Friday.  The public is welcome and encouraged to stop by and watch with food and drinks available.
