ReAnn Cappel will be joining the Atlantic Trojans Softball Hall of Fame (tonight) Thursday June 13th before the Atlantic softball game against Denison-Schleswig.

Through her high school career, ReAnn was a five-time letter winner and a four-year varsity starter from 2009-2013. She has many accomplishments in her high school career at Atlantic. She received four Trojan Heads, was selected to the Second Team Hawkeye Ten Conference in 2011 when she was a sophomore and First Team Hawkeye Ten All-Conference as a junior in 2012 and as a senior in 2013 and was named first All-District and Second Team All-Western Iowa and Third Team All-State.

Cappel continued her softball dreams after high school when she attended Iowa Western Community College where she was named to the All-Academic Team following the 2014-2015 season and transferred to play softball at Buena Vista, where she was the Newcomer of the Year in the 2015-2016 season.

Cappel gave her thoughts on joining the Atlantic Trojan’s Hall of Fame (Today) Thursday June 13th.

ReAnn credits those who helped her along the way.

Cappel commented how she prepared herself how to play softball in college.

ReAnn gave her own advice to the younger generation of high school athletes.

ReAnn is currently employed in the Cass Health Emergency Department and has been involved in a number of volunteer opportunities in the area, which include 2 years as a youth softball coach.
