(Exira, Iowa) – The Audubon County Sheriff’s Department says they were notified that a card skimmer was placed on the Exira Casey’s store fuel pumps number 5 and 6, sometime between June 18th and June 19th. Sheriff’s officials are asking anyone who used their credit or debit card at those two fuel pumps during those days, to “please monitor your card transactions and report any fraud to the Sheriff’s Office and your banking institution.”

The Audubon County Sheriff’s Office reminds motorists that “whenever you are using a card reader at a gas pump to verify that the seal and the machine have not been tampered with before you use it.”
