Former NASCAR Cup champion Kyle Larson is not sure if he will even get the opportunity to try and defend his title at the Knoxville Nationals this season. Sprint car racing’s biggest event is set for August seventh through the 10th. That same weekend the Cup Series is running in Richmond, Virginia.

Larson says won two of the last three Knoxville titles and loves to race there as much as possible.

Larson has excelled in stock cars and sprint cars and just finished 18th in the Indianapolis 500. There are other events he would like to compete in one day.

Larson ran tire tests at the Iowa Speedway on Tuesday leading up to next month’s Iowa Corn 350.
