MARTHA ANN PIPER, 90, died Monday, May 13, 2024, at Heritage House in Atlantic, Iowa.  Per her wishes cremation for MARTHA ANN PIPER has taken place, and a graveside service for her and Walter will be held at a later date at the Kossuth Cemetery in Mediapolis, Iowa. Roland Funeral Home in Atlantic has the arrangements.

The family requests memorials be directed to the Heritage House Good Samaritan Fund at 1200 Brookridge Circle, Atlantic, IA 50022. The Good Samaritan Fund provides financial assistance to residents who have outlived their resources. This allows them to continue living in the familiar surroundings and with the caring staff they are accustomed to. Martha was a recipient of this program.

Her sons – Dennis Piper, of Mediapolis; David Piper, of Burlington, IA; Wayne Piper of El Cajon, CA, and Dan Piper of Winfield, IA.

Her daughters – Renae Smothers, of Atlantic; Teresa (Jeff) Godwin, of Cumberland, and Sharon (Tom) Duffy of Des Plaines, IL.

Her sister –  Dina Poole, of Burlington, IA

Her brothers – Ray (Karen) Iversen, of Macomb, IL., and  Sivert Iversen, of Burlington, IA.

17 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandson.
