Iowa DOC reports Work Release Escape in Waterloo

(Waterloo, Iowa) – Officials with the Iowa Department of Corrections, Sunday, said 20-year-old Daeonnis Gates, who was convicted of Intimidation with a Dangerous Weapon and Willful Injury in Black Hawk County, failed to report back to the Waterloo Residential Correctional Facility as required, Saturday. Gates stands six-feet tall and weighs 188-pounds. He was admitted to the work release facility on March 12th, 2024.
