WATERLOO, Iowa (KCRG) — Waterloo police say they have positively identified the remains found at the Waste Treatment Plant on Monday, KCRG reports. In an update on Friday, police said the remains were identified as Darrin Lenton, who had been reported missing on July 10, 2021, when he was 49.

Police said no foul play is suspected in this case, which remains under investigation.
