MARY LOU KRAUS, 88, of Anita, died Friday, February 23, 2024, at Heritage House, in Atlantic. A Mass of Christian Burial for MARY LOU KRAUS will be held 10-a.m. Thursday, Feb. 29, 2024, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Anita. Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Anita has the arrangements.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at St. Mary’s Church in Anita.

A luncheon will be held following mass in the church’s fellowship hall.

Interment will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at Iowa Veterans Cemetery, in Adel.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the American Legion Auxiliary; they may be mailed to the Schmidt Family Funeral Home P.O. Box 523, Atlantic, IA 50022.

Her daughters – Debbie Stepp; Donna (Denny) Culbertson; Darlene (Mark) Littleton, and Annette (David) Raubvogel.

Her son – Mike (Ruthie) Kraus.

Her brothers – Donald Schettler; Norman (Diane) Schettler; John (Judy) Schettler; Marvin (Fran) Schettler, and Leo (Kathy) Schettler.

His sister – Elaine (Paul) Rust.

12 grandchildren, a step-grandson and 11 great-grandchildren.
