The IWOCA announced its district coaches of the year, and S.W.A.T. Head Coach Tiffany South and Lewis Central Head Coach August Manz were named the Southwest District Coaches of the Year.

South started her coaching duties as the S.W.A.T. Valkyrie Head Coach in 2022. Her team has had a strong season going 13-5 in duals and won tournament titles at Pride of Iowa, Audubon, and the S.W.A.T. scramble.

Last year, South’s team finished second behind Lewis Central at the Super Regional, qualified six athletes for the state wrestling tournament with three place winners, and ended 16^th overall.

S.W.A.T. will compete in the Super Regionals at Sioux City on Friday.
