Former Alabama offensive lineman Kadyn Proctor said he is transferring to Iowa.

Proctor, who is from Des Moines, started every game at left tackle for Alabama as a freshman this season.

He told On3.com on Saturday that he committed to play for the Hawkeyes. He had announced his intentions to leave the Crimson Tide on social media on Wednesday.

Proctor, who had verbally committed to the Hawkeyes in high school, made a late decision to sign with Alabama.  After one successful season, helping to lead the Crimson Tide to the college football playoff, Proctor entered the transfer portal Wednesday.  Saturday, he attended the Iowa men’s basketball game and announced he was committing to Iowa.

Proctor, a Southeast Polk High School star, was one of the most coveted offensive line recruits in the country.
