The Atlantic Boys Basketball team is now 3-10 midway through season after a 63-52 loss at Clarinda on Friday night.  The Trojans suffered from poor shooting in the fourth quarter and couldn’t keep out of foul trouble with a Clarinda team that answered every Atlantic basket throughout the game.  The Cardinals took advantage of a scoring drought for the Trojans in the third quarter and grabbed a 5-point third quarter lead.  Atlantic tried to cut into that lead to start the fourth quarter but Clarinda pushed back and went on a 10-0 run midway through tthe fourth quarter to secure the victory.

Clarinda was led by Creighton Tuzzio with 25 points and Dalton Wright with 10.  Atlantic got 21 points from Colton Rasmussen in the loss.

Clarinda improves to (6-7) with the win and host Stanton on Monday. Atlantic’s new record is (3-10) with the loss and continue their road trip to Creston on Monday. Tipoff for that contest is 7:30 p.m.
