Eight wrestlers competed for Atlantic, and four finished in the top eight in their respective weight classes. At 126, Aiden Smith (11-1) defeated Alex Gates of Grand Island, Nebraska, by fall in 2:29. The junior also notched his 100th career victory over the weekend. Evan Sorensen (285) finished seventh, winning by forfeit in the medal rounds. Taye Jordan (106) and Braxton Hass (113) finished eighth.

Weston Porter of Lewis Central captured the title at 106; teammate Drew Anderson was 3rd at 120, and Vinny Mayberry of Glenwood finished fifth at the same weight class. Matt Beem of Glenwood topped the stand at 132. Carson Thomsen of Underwood, 5th, and Carter Schorsch of Lewis Central, 7th. Danny Kinsella of Treynor finished second at 150.

Other of the area’s top ten finishers, at 157, Parker Herzog, of Council  Bluffs Abraham Lincon, 7th. At 165,  Maddox Nelson of Underwood, 2nd, Kellan Scott, Glenwood fifth, and Ben Hansen of Missouri Valley 8th. Levi Young of Treynor finished 7th at 190, Mason Koehler of Glenwood, 5th at 215, and Trent Patton of Glenwood, 4th at 285.
