#4 Iowa Runs Over Bowling Green 99-65

(Iowa City, IA) – The Hawkeyes rolled on over the Bowling Green Falcons on Saturday 99-65. Iowa is now 14-6 over teams in the MAC and 1-0 against Bowling Green.
Looking at the stats for the Hawkeyes, Caitlin Clark led the team with 24 points and dished out 11 assists for a double-double while also pulling down seven rebounds. Clark is just two double-doubles away from reaching the Big Ten’s list for the most double-doubles in a career with 46. Behind Clark was Kate Martin with 17 points and five rebounds while Sydney Affolter had 14 points and four rebounds. Sharon Goodman scored 12 points on Saturday and 11 rebounds for her to earn a double-double. She has now played in 133 games in her career. Iowa shot more than well as they shot 67% from the field while outrebounding Bowling Green 44-27.
Bowling Green was led in the game by Lexi Fleming as she knocked in 24 points and seven rebounds. Amy Velasco scored 11 points while pulling down three rebounds. Morgan Sharps and Sophie Dziekan each scored nine points and three rebounds each. Bowling Green could not get past the Iowa defense as they shot just 34.3% from the field.
Iowa will move on to Iowa State to take on the Cyclones as a part of the Cy-Hawk series this upcoming Wednesday, December 6th at 6:00 p.m. in Ames.
