The Drake women outscored Iowa State 22-4 in the second quarter then held off a second half rally by the Cyclones for an 85-73 win in Des Moines. Taylor McCauly scored 27 points as the Bulldogs posted their first win over the Cyclones since 2019.

That’s Drake coach Allison Pohlman. ISU roared back in the third quarter after trailing by 18 at halftime.

Freshman center Audi Crooks led ISU with 23 points.

Crooks was seven of nine from the field and nine of 12 from the line.
